Government Office Development. Dandenong, VIC

Developed and built by Grocon, the Government Services Office building represented a critical milestone in the urban renewal of central Dandenong, the first private sector development delivered as part of the Victorian State Governments ‘Revitalising Central Dandenong’ initiative.

As development manager with the State Government Authority responsible for delivery of the ‘Revitalising Central Dandenong’ initiative, Ben conducted an open market bid process to select Grocon as the successful purchaser of the land and developer for the new purpose built facility.

To ensure delivery of a 'fit for purpose' facility, the role called for close collaboration with each of the four State Government tenants to ascertain individual base building and tenancy fit out requirements, incorporating these specifications within detailed bid documents and liaising with the developers’ consultant team to ensure these requirements were adequately addressed within the final design.

Since opening its doors in 2012, Grocon's Government Services Office building has played a major role in not only servicing the local and regional community, but in establishing a new benchmark for urban design, architecture and the creation of quality workspace in Melbourne’s outer suburban areas.
